Brian Weisberg

I've spent 15 years doing one thing well: building.

Finance functions from scratch. Trust with boards, teams, and the room outside the room. Systems that let people sail instead of row.

Right now that shows up in three places at once. Building it inside Mux. Advising early-stage companies selling into the office of the CFO, who need someone who's sat in that seat. And showing up for the finance community itself, as a voice (or shoulder) on where AI earns its keep in finance versus where it's just hype.

Different rooms, same instinct: see around corners, take action early, think a few steps ahead, bring the people around me into it. I was AI-native before AI-native was a thing, and I still read more from other finance and AI thinkers than I write myself.

None of that's abstract. I led finance through two acquisitions—Ansible to Red Hat, Tidelift to Sonar—both LOI to close in under 45 days. At Tidelift I took the company from under a dozen people to 70-plus, raised $73.5M through Series B and C, and built the payment infrastructure behind it. I'm a founding member of The F Suite, a network of 1,000-plus CFOs, and I host The Cash Flow Show with OnlyCFO. Earned secrets—the kind you only get from being in the room—are the throughline in all of it.

I'm looking for the next place to put that to work. Could be early stage. Could be growth. Could be something I haven't done yet.
